Lawrence Fields “SUPERSONIC Trio”

Lawrence Fields is noted for a blend of compelling musicality, a lightning piano technique, and an expressive, personal sound. Dubbed a rising star by Downbeat Magazine, Fields’ music is being featured internationally. Lawrence’s groups can be heard at prominent jazz venues worldwide — including Zürich’s Moods, Vienna’s Porgy and Bess, Munich’s Unterfahrt, Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Dizzy’s Club, Jazz St. Louis, and Germany’s Jazzweek Burhausen 2025 festival.

Fields is also a key member of some of today's forward-thinking, critically-acclaimed groups, including Joe Lovano and Dave Douglas' "Sound Prints" and the Grammy-nominated Chief Adjuah/Christian Scott group. After performing and/or recording with a diverse collection of artists (including Nicholas Payton, Branford and Delfeayo Marsalis, and others), and releasing his critically-acclaimed acoustic jazz debut “To the Surface”, Fields' new Supersonic Trio combines groove-based sounds from both past and present — blending R&B, jazz, hip-hop and funk into a seamless whole.
